Framed Pictures

We finally got some of our art work framed. The house is no longer empty. Some really old pictures my Aunt Vi had painted, others pictures from childhood. Its nice to have some color on the walls. Laura and Caroline differ with me on picture height. Next project: PAINTING!

ONE LAST TRIP TO THE BEACH BEFORE SCHOOL

The kids and their father are hoping to take one last trip to the beach before the onslought of books and assignments. The beach here is magnificent. It is very strong and dangerous, clean and very hot with the black sand. What an adventure and yours for the taking in about an hour and a half.
I am hoping this gets to happen this week for the kids.
Isn't it interesting that life is made up of "ONE LASTS"..................................

NEW NOTEBOOKS AND INK PENS

I AM REALIZING THAT THERE ARE SIMPLE THINGS THAT I LOVE. LIKE A NEW SPIRAL NOTEBOOK, JUST WAITING FOR NOTES FROM A NEW READ. AND I LOVE FREE FLOWING INK. IT IS KIND OF AN OBSESSION. ANOTHER THING, IS THAT I LOVE TO DOODLE. WHY, I DO NOT KNOW. WHEN I AM ON THE PHONE, SITTING AND LISTENING TO A LECTURE, JUST ABOUT ANYTIME. MAYBE I WAS INTENDED TO BE SOME KIND OF ARTIST. JUST NOT YET DISCOVERED.

LOOKING FORWARD TO BUYING THAT NEXT NOTEBOOK AND I HOPE IT HAS DIVIDERS, TO ORGANIZE MY THOUGHTS ON MY DIFFERENT BOOKS OF INTEREST.

The Trouble with Stand-by Flying

John, Laura, Josh, and Lydia are stuck in Dallas awaiting openings to get on the plane to Guatemala. This is the 5th day. They somehow didn't get off with a change of clothes. It has been a crazy time of moving out of our duplex and storing all of our items. I feel very displaced, disoriented and out of sorts.

Must trust in the Lord in many many new ways. I am in a garage apt. of a friend with Caroline and Katie. David is on a hunting trip with the Blacks. I am missing Guatemala and somehow emotionally stuck in limbo in the U.S. not wanting to leave my adult kids. Austin and Caroline especially.
